MedVida appoints Jordi Montalbo to the Board

The new director of the insurance company was until last June responsible for insurance services at Deloitte Spain and EMEA.

Madrid, July 26, 2022 – Mediterráneo Vida (MedVida) has appointed Jordi Montalbo Todolí, a renowned professional with more than 30 years of experience in the insurance sector, to its board of directors.

The new director is an Actuary, has a degree in Economics and Business Studies from the University of Barcelona and has completed management and business programs including at IMD.

Jordi Montalbo has spent his entire professional career at the consulting firm Deloitte, from which he retired last June. He joined the firm in 1990 as an auditor. Since then, his career has always been linked to the financial and insurance sector, participating in the audit of important Spanish financial and insurance groups. He has been partner in charge of Audit & Assurance – Financial Services in Catalonia, Aragon and the Balearic Islands; head of Insurance at Deloitte Spain since 2004 and co-leader at EMEA level since 2018. He is a member of the Official Register of Statutory Auditors of the Institute of Chartered Accountants¸ member of the Institute of Internal Auditors of Spain, and also a member of the Association of Actuaries of Catalonia.

Jordi Montalbo fills the vacancy on the board of MedVida left by Ignasi Camí, who has been a director for the last five years. The board of MedVida has thanked him for his great contribution to the development of the company during this period.
